1) Center for Sex & Culture needs your help:
http://www.sexandculture.org <http://www.sexandculture.org/

If you are able, we'd very much value your support. There are three main
ways to do that: get on our list and partake in events; pitch in from time
to time (let me know if you'd like to be on an ongoing volunteer list); and
donate. Donations are tax-deductible, and you can either use the PayPal
button on the site or mail us a check to 2215-R Market #455, SF CA 94114.
We'll send a tax letter, and checks dated '06 will be acknowledged as this
year's donations. Thanks to those of you who are already supporters! We'd
also love it if you could tell other interested folks about us, whether to
donate or simply to join our mailing list and support our events (our friend
Cory Silverberg just named us one of his recommended charities from his
bully pulpit on about.com--http://sexuality.about.com--thanks, Cory!). And
if you are a teacher, writer, or artist who'd be interested in getting more
involved with us, please let me know."

2)esday evenings, 1/23 through 3/20 -- DECLARING OUR EROTIC Writers' group
with Jen Cross

Announcing an erotic writing workshop designed for anyone who's ever thought
about writing erotic stories, but unsure how to start. In this workshop, you
will

? Get more comfortable exploring and talking about sexual desires,
? Celebrate and struggle with various and complex aspects of your sexual
self, and
? Practice explicit erotic writing!

Each week, we will write in response to exercises designed to tap into
different aspects of our erotic experience: memory, fantasy, fetish, desire,
relationship with the body, and so on. Open to folks of all writing
abilities: whether you write regularly, are an infrequent journaler, or used
to write and would like to again, this workshop is for you!

The workshop will run 8 weeks, January 23-March 20 (no class Feb 20), at the
Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco. The cost is $200. If you‚d like
to participate, or have any questions, please contact Jen at
jennifer@writingourselveswhole.org. For more information, visit
www.writingourselveswhole.org

Jen Cross is a freelance writer and educator who‚s published in such
anthologies as Best Women's Erotica 2007, Best Fetish Erotica, Naughty
Spanking Stories A-Z 2. She‚s a queer incest survivor who used erotic
writing to transform her relationship with her erotic self. She received her
MA in Transformative Language Arts from Goddard College, and facilitates
writing workshops (both erotic and not) using the Amherst Writers & Artists
method (http://www.amherstwriters.com/).

 3) Hello writers!

Call for Submissions for an Erotic Art Show in Feb.

Last year's show was one of our biggest successes, and we want to
follow that up this year as well. We are a small gallery collective
in S. Berkeley. Our goal is to provide a forum for emerging Bay Area
artists. The reception itself will be on Saturday, February 10th.
We will accept submissions by around January 27th, when we will then
contact those artists we wish to have in the show.

Obviously the erotic may be expressed in many different ways, and we
look forward to illustrating this diversity in our displayed art.

We are accepting painting, illustration, sculpture, video
installation, as well as specific performance art ideas. Last year's
reception was a great party because it had this mix. As we are a
small gallery, we will not be able to accommodate most large pieces.
Preference will be given somewhat to bay area artists, of course.
Please send all links to the email address provided, or if you wish
to speak to us in person, please call 510.601.5774.
